#1 Lots of greenery!

It may sound very obvious, lots of greenery in your garden, but you still see many gardens that mainly consist of paving stones. In our opinion, that's a huge waste! Your garden can really become an extension of your indoor interior and your own little piece of tropical paradise. So, make sure there's enough greenery in your garden. Even if you don't have green fingers, there are plenty of plants you can choose, such as bamboo. Also, don't forget to work with different heights, like a beautiful olive tree, bamboo, or wisteria over a cool pergola. The more green, the better!

#2 Matching furniture.

If you want to create a certain atmosphere, it's nice if your furniture matches. This automatically creates tranquility, space, and unity. That's easy, right? If you want to go for a tropical vibe, choose furniture made of natural materials, such as wood. The great thing about wood is that you can sand it every year (if you're not too lazy, haha), making them look new every summer!

#3 Accessories are truly key!

It doesn't stop at the plants and your furniture. If you really want to make your garden part of your interior, then accessories are very important. Think of shell necklaces, angklungs, hurricane lamps, and wall decorations such as tapestries and wall discs. This way, your garden will be cozy even in winter!

#4 Shine a light! Just as important outdoors as indoors!

Beautiful atmospheric lighting really completes a garden. We personally think a string of light bulbs is a must-have, as it adds a lot of cozy atmosphere to your garden. In addition, you can choose spotlights on your fence, hurricane lamps under your veranda, or a beautiful fire bowl/basket to sit by the fire on a lovely summer evening.

#5 Make a garden plan.

TIP! Make a plan for your garden in advance. Literally sketch out where you want to place which plants, furniture, accessories, and lighting, and then bring your plan to life. It might seem a bit over the top, but it makes you think carefully about how everything will look and if you might want to do something differently here and there.
