Your hall or hallway is often a narrow, small space in your home and therefore very difficult to furnish. But it's a shame not to pay attention to it, because it's the entrance to your home! First, it's nice to ensure a good foundation. By this, we mean that your hall gives a preview of the rest of your interior. So don't be afraid to use color, for example. Make sure the wall colors and the type of flooring match nicely with your living room. This will create a natural transition from the hall to your living room. This can even make your house feel more spacious.
#2 Practicality takes a back seat.
Of course, a coat rack and a shoe rack are practical, but we think it's nicer to hide them in a cupboard. This is often a small effort. Have a custom-made cupboard or perhaps you have a under-stairs cupboard where you can store a lot? Isn't it wonderful when you enter your home in peace and space, instead of tripping over shoes and jackets?
#3 Pimp it!
Decoration in the hall is often forgotten, but it's so important. It creates atmosphere and immediately gives you a welcoming feeling when you step into your home. Not only nice for your guests, but also for yourself!
You can decorate in many different ways. For example, consider a large wall hanging on the wall. I hear you thinking, "Large? Should I do that in a small space?". If you choose a big eye-catcher, it's really cool and you'll see that it actually creates space! But make sure you leave it at that and don't hang all sorts of small items next to it, because then it can quickly become too cluttered.
